Pregnant with Cancer
While surfing the Internet, I came across a website called “Pregnant with Cancer”. I was introduced to a lady called Sandi. All I can say about Sandi is that she's an inspiration to parents everywhere. Her children truly have a special, caring and loving mother with not a shred of selfishness. If there's an angel on earth, it’s Sandi. In 2007, Sandi was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma seven weeks into her fourth pregnancy. Sandi’s faith, family and pure determination made this a fight she could win for both herself and her unborn child. This is Sandi’s story… CLICK HERE
Are You Ready for Some Football?
I don't know about you, but when you're from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania -- September only means one thing, the official start of football. There's a reason why it's a twenty year wait for season tickets. Steeler football is that important to Pittsburghers. I have to say, I'm a die-hard fan. But recently it's been tough being a Pittsburgh fan. I wish the league was not as corrupt with players. Some of the players including Pittsburgh's quarterback Ben Roethlisberger ruin the reputation of the league. Ben's a great quarterback, but when you're from Pittsburgh that means nothing. Winning isn't everything. CLICK HERE for the rest.
Remembering September 11, 2001
I just want to take a moment to remember all those who lost their lives on 9/11. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost so much that day. I will never forget that morning. Our daughter had just turned 3, and that morning was so beautiful. It's times like this that I count my blessings for my family, my country and God.
God bless America.
Choosing Your Child's Name
Don't feel that you have to stick with family tradition when choosing the right baby name. If you really like a certain baby name, use it. Your baby will only have one first name, so don’t settle for just any baby name. Our kid’s names were our decision, my wife and I alone. We could have decided to carry over my first name for one of our boys and it did cross my mind, but we decided not to. We wanted a name that each of my boys could call their own. No one else in the family has either of these names, Alexander and Daniel. These are very traditional names. Nothing fancy with these first names. We got a little more creative with the middle names. Alexander’s middle name is Max, and Daniel’s middle name is Garret (Alexander Max and Daniel Garret).
My daughter’s first name was no different. My wife and I liked two names for girls. One was Lauren, and the other was the name we chose, which is Brooke. We chose Brooke because we knew we were going to use my wife’s middle name for our daughter. So we carried over Lyn as my daughter’s middle name (Brooke Lyn). That name seemed to fit perfectly.
This brings me to the reason for this article. I have a list of ideas that might help you when choosing a baby name. By no means is this considered a template to go by, they’re just tips that might help you decide. CLICK HERE for the rest of the story.
