There are no significant national holidays in the month of August. (January has Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. February has Ground Hog Day and President's Day. March has St. Patrick's Day and sometimes Easter. April has April Fool's Day and Easter. May has Memorial Day and Mother's Day. June has Flag Day and Father's Day. July has Independence Day. September has Labor Day. October has Columbus Day and Halloween. November has Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving. December has Christmas and New Year's Eve.) But, August has no known holidays. So I comprised a list of days during the month of August that you may not have known of. This list is real and very funny.

August 20 - National Radio Day
August 21 - International Homeless Animals Day
